Literacy & Numeracy Support
COURSE OVERVIEW
Canterbury College can provide individual literacy and numeracy support for secondary school learners studying in New Zealand.
Support can be incorporated into appropriate programmes, including our Best Start and IELTS preparation programmes, or provided through individual tutoring where available.
We can help learners develop the English and academic skills needed for:
- NCEA Literacy and Numeracy Co-requisite (CAAs)
- Literacy Reading and Writing
- Numeracy skills
- University Entrance (UE) Literacy
- Reading comprehension and academic vocabulary
- Clear, accurate and well-organised writing
- Understanding assessment questions and instructions
- Building confidence for study in a New Zealand secondary school
